Based upon current economic projections, the Tampa area is expected to enjoy a moderate growth pattern in the coming years.
According to UCF’s December 2010 Florida & Metro Forecast 2010-2013 for the Tampa Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA):
- Personal income growth is expected to average 4.3 percent annually.
- Employment growth is expected to be 2.2 percent annually, the second highest among MSAs forecasted.
- The Gross Metro Product is projected to be the second highest in the state, averaging $94.7 billion.
