The Tampa Museum of Art was established in 1979 and recently was reconstructed and redesigned to a 66,000 square foot masterpiece in 2010. The building, created by Stanley Saitowitz, is designed to look like a “metal box sitting on a glass pedestal” and the vibrant color lights in the exterior walls are to “make the building itself a work of art”.
