The Gasparilla Festival of Arts is an annual show held the first weekend in March in downtown Tampa.  As one of the country’s premier outdoor shows, the festival features the artworks of accomplished artists and rising stars, representing a variety of styles and media.

  The Gasparilla Festival of Arts can be traced back to 1971. The show was one of the first efforts to revitalize downtown Tampa and was awarded the prominent Governor’s Award for the Arts in recognition of its role in inspiring culture activities for the public. The festival exists for the enjoyment and education of the patrons, artists and the enrichment of the Tampa Bay area’s cultural arts.
